Starting off: Blusher

Yay it's time for another Starting Off project post!!
This week is about blusher, and it's going to be a short one since I pretty much never wear it.

Natural Collection blusher in Peach Melba
I'm really not a big fan of having brightly coloured cheeks - it definitely does not suit me. So I got this one because it just looks natural. Not too dark, not too bright. Basically it just gives my face a bit of colour without me ending up looking like a clown! (I'm not saying everyone who wears dark or bright blusher looks like a clown - it's just really doesn't suit me)
It's got pretty good pigmentation and when I do wear it, I can leave it at home because I never need to re-apply. Plus it's only £1.99 from Boots!

MUA Undress Your Skin shimmer highlighter
So I'm going to include this because even though it's a highlighter, it does have a slight pinky pigmentation when you put it on. And I couldn't have just one product in my post!
I really love this for nights out because it gives a really nice pink tinted glow, rather than being glittery and sparkly. You can build it up for an even heavier glow, but I tend to leave it looking more natural.
I only use this on the top of my cheekbones, and I never wear it day to day because I think it's a little too pink and shimmery for the daytime.

I apply both using a small-ish fluffy brush!

Since this is such a short post, I'm going to show you a blusher product I wouldn't mind owning :)

I've heard lots of bloggers rave about the sleek blushers, particularly the Rose Gold shade being a great dupe for Nars Orgasm. However I prefer a matte blush and I just think this shade is sooo pretty and light! They apparently last for ages, have good pigmentation and are great for blending. I'm definitely going to invest in it soon, and maybe then I'll be more of a blusher girl.

If you have any questions or anything, please comment below or tweet me @perpetual_style :) Remember to also check out the other SO project blusher posts by going to Steph's blog and clicking one of the bloggers!

Thanks for reading!
