Mini make-up haul!

 Hi! :)
The other day I was really bad and bought some make-up even though I'm on a spending ban :(
To make it even worse, I didn't just stumble across them, I actually specifically got up at 8 in the morning just so I could go out and buy them.
It was very much intentional.

However, the damage is done, and so now I'm going to show you what I bought!

Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in light
If you're part of or read the Starting Off project, you'll know that this little thing was extremely popular in Tuesdays concealer post. Out of all the 100+ people who wrote a concealer post, I bet it was mentioned in over half of them! I've never really been into concealers so I thought I might as well test it out because it's pretty cheap.

Worth it?
Yes definitely, I've only worn it a few times so far but I was surprised by how good the coverage was. I think this will really come in handy when I go back to uni and can't be bothered to put a full face of foundation on every day.

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107
I've been wanting this for aaaaages, but I've always been too scared to go for it because I'm very much a corals and nudes girl when it comes to lipstick. However, Autumn is just around the corner, and with it comes a big trend in grunge and punk, so why not?

Worth it?
Yes! I'm so glad I got this as my first proper dark coloured lipstick. I love it because it doesn't look tacky. This is a concern for me because usually when I wear dark lipsticks, I look like a little kid who went in her mums make up. However this one actually made me look a bit older! Result!
It also lasted the whole day without me re applying it once. It did look a little faded, but not so much that anyone would even notice.

Maybelline Baby Lips in peach kiss
I've wanted one of these ever since they came to the UK and I've read about 50 billion reviews on them with dedication! Finally the time had come to get one, and why not? It's only £2.99!

Worth it?
For this paticular shade - no. I had read some reviews that said that this shade actually had enough pigmentation to change the colour of my lips. These reviews were obviously very innacurate. It provided as much colour as one of the clear ones would have. Saying that, the actual balm is great! I've pretty much been wearing it non stop since I got it and my lips are so soft and noticeably less chapped. Will be great for Winter months!
If I could go back, I would have got it in hydrate or repair.

Swatches of Baby Lips and Kate Moss lipstick.

Thanks for reading!

  1. I love the babylips but not for the pigmentation, I use the green one just to keep my lips moist and to add a little bit of shine.

    Great post!

    1. Yeah I wish I hadn't bothered with a pigmented one now! Ah well, at least I know for next time.
      Thanks! :)
